Obituary for Carol Kathleen Knight

BEVERLY: Carol Kathleen (Bodden) Knight, 90, entered into eternal rest on May 17, 2017. She was the wife of the late Casimir A. “Cas” Knight who died in 2007.
Born in Floral Park, New York on March 18, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Conrad and Irma (Geis) Bodden.
As a young women living in New York, Carol competed and toured the country as an accomplished roller skater. She was the recipient of several awards and held National and State titles. She took great joy in caring for her family. Carol was very kind and one who never passed judgement but rather sought to understand and comfort others.
She is survived by her daughter, Kris Murray of Rumford, ME; a son and daughter-in-law, Kevin J. and Jane (Henebury) Knight of Beverly with whom she resided and a son, Stephen Knight of Woburn; nine grandchildren, Stephen, Adam, Brittney, Jessica, Matthew and Ryan Knight, Erin Gaudette, Erik Hashem and Nicole Leitao and five great-grandchildren, Tyler Leitao, Parker and Blake Gaudette and Joseph and Maddilyn Rheaume. She was also predeceased by her daughter, Denise A, Knight, son, Michael C. Knight, brother, Conrad Bodden and a sister, Jacqueline Gesslein.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday in St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 253 Cabot St., Beverly at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. There are no visiting hours and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association of MA, 309 Waverley Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452.
