Obituary for Norman Nelson Noriega

Norman Nelson Noriega
Manchester by the Sea - Norman Noriega age 56, died unexpectedly as a result of a motor vehicle accident on Sunday March 20, 2017. Son of the late Leandro C. and Alicia M. C. Noriega.

Norman graduated Gloucester High School in 1978 and received a Bachelor's degree from the New York Institute of Technology in 1982 prior to settling in Beverly. While he worked for many years as a Technical Sales manager for Si-Tech in Topsfield, Norman was never happier than when he was on the water captaining or crewing a sailboat off New England. He especially loved taking scenic pictures on these voyages as he considered himself an amateur photographer. He also enjoyed applying his architectural expertise to residential construction projects in the area. He spent the last six years of his life in Manchester, where he was known for his ability to tell a great story and his excellent cooking skills that he learned working at various restaurants on Cape Ann in his youth.

Surviving him is a daughter Maria Noriega of FL, a brother, Malcolm D. Noriega and his partner Lisa Westervelt of Manchester by the Sea; two nieces , Dominique and Christiane Noriega of Manchester by the Sea.

A Funeral Service will be held at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly on Saturday at 1:30 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours are Friday 4 to 7 PM. Burial will be held private.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy, in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society. Information, directions and condolences at www.campbellfuneral.com
