Obituary for Leigh M. Keyser

Leigh M. Keyser
BEVERLY - Leigh M. Keyser, age 86 years, of South Hamilton, passed away on Monday evening, March 13, 2017 at the NSMC-Union Hospital in Lynn. He was the beloved husband of the late Sarah (Pauling) Keyser. Born in Salem, dear son of the late Donald M. and Louise (Nicholson) Keyser. He was educated in the Hamilton-Wenham School System.
An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country during the Korean War as a member of the United States Army.
Mr. Keyser was a photographer his entire life and well-known on the North Shore. He had been employed as a photographer for the Salem News, Beverly Times and Lynn Item.
Leigh had been involved with the Hamilton Senior Council on Aging and Housing. He was also an Executive Board Member of Senior Care and very active in town politics.
He is survived by one daughter, Daryl A. Daigneault and her husband Robert of Amesbury; one son, David Leigh Keyser of FL; four grandchildren, Nicole Daigneault, Brad Daigneault and his wife Sarah, Noell Vasquez and her husband Oscar and Beau Daigneault; six great grandchildren, Daegan, Bryce, Lyla, Violet, George and Harmony; two sisters-in-law, Lucille Walkup and her husband Stanley of Beverly and Meredith Lebeau of Beverly and one brother-in-law, Warren Pauling. He was also the brother of the late Phil Keyser.
Leigh’s Funeral Service will be held at the First Congregational Church, 624 Bay Road, Hamilton on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours at the First Congregational Church, Hamilton on Friday, March 24, 2017 from 5-7 PM. Interment will be private. Contributions may be made in his memory to the First Congregational Church Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 213, Hamilton, MA 01936. Information, directions, condolences at www. campbellfuneral.com.
